Sorry to be so short, and to the point, but Katy’s nurse has to be gone Thursday, and I have to work all day Thursday and Friday. I am subbing for another teacher who is out, and running sound for a choir concert. So if there is anyone who knows us that has some time to hang with Katy and Arielle…..HELP! You can reach me at
Thanks!
Love to all,
Al

Hello – I just saw an update story on your family on Channel 8 in Dallas and I just had to write you. I wanted to know whether Katy had ever been told about a man named Nick Vujicic and/or an organization called Life Without Limbs (www.lifewithoutlimbs.org). If not, please just google Butterfly Circus and have Katy watch this 20 minute short film. It literally saved my life. A long story – and not about me anyway. Then visit the website, please. I have met Nick and it will be an experience I will never forget. I KNOW Katy will be motivated and inspired by him, and I feel sure he would be a big help to her. Godbless you – let me know what you all think of the film
Hi Hayes Family,
Saw you last night on WFAA and it was a really moving clip. You are such a beautiful family and I continue to wish you all the best. Katy, I know it doesn’t seem like it but you’re more women then the most of us. You are a blessing to us all.
If there are anymore fund raisers let me know, more than happy to donate art from my store The Blue Moon Gallery.
Terri
I just watched the WFAA story last night, too, and was truly moved by it. I’ll be reading your blog and am sending good thoughts for healing and continued strength.
Take care.
Galen
The latest news story really touched me. How hard it must be for each family member to adjust to this new life. Katy, please allow yourself time to mourn the loss of your limbs. I hope you all can talk to a psychologist, they are professionals and know how to help you cope with struggles.
Katy, you are not half a woman. Your heart and soul are not in your arms and legs. Your heart and mind are still whole. You are amazing. Just wanted to send my love and suppport! Prayers for continued strength and love for you all.
Hi Hayes family,
Its been a while since there has been any update posted here, so I just thought I would drop you a line or two to say that I hope all is well in the Hayes household, and to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you daily,
Margie
Happy Thanskgiving Hayes Family, and everyone who reads this blog.
Hope all is well with you.

Even though I have never met your amazing family, I came across your story in the Chronicle. I am in awe of all of you. You have overcome so much and still have such a positive outlook on things. I wish your family nothing but good things to come.
A note to your daughter–you are a shining example of a wonderful young woman. I know your parents are so proud of the way you are helping your family and it shows just how loving they are. You are beautiful, inside and out, and you will go far in life and achieve great things!
Just wanting to wish you all a wonderful Christmas. I hope you are all doing well, staying strong, and moving along!
