Katy was seen at TIRR today to check on her wound status, and to determine a time frame for her inpatient prosthetic training. Her wounds are looking so much better, and the doctor wrote orders to change the wound care process again. If things keep progressing as they have been, then Katy will be cast for leg prosthetics, and then do her 2 weeks inpatient training, sometime in September!
We have the inspection on the house tomorrow…wish us luck. Provided that nothing major is found, then we will close soon, and start renovations immediately after that.
I will keep you all updated as things progress.
Love to all,
Al

What wonderful news!!! Congratulations; it sounds like everything positive is finally coming your way. Will look forward to hearing all about your new house and to possibly see a picture of Katy with her new prosthetics on. How exciting. I continue to hold you all in prayer.

Fantastic news, so happy for you.
Wish you all the luck with the house and that Katy continues to do so well. She really is a special lady.
Take care of each other and be happy.
All the best for Katy and good luck with the house!
So glad she’s healing. So happy to hear good news!

Good luck on the inspection!
Like you’ve said before, it’s the little victories. Wounds looking better and better after so many weeks of Katy having to endure the healing process — bam! Little victory. Getting the casts for leg prosthetics, when there was a question a month or so ago that she might not get legs — bam! Little victory. Inpatient training for the prosthetics, after there being some question if she’d even get to go to training — bam! Little victory.
Hoping for more victories.
CONGRATS!!! katy & al!!!
I am so happy for you all
I too wish you good luck on the house inspection. Katy has come so far……hard to believe that leg prosthetics are now in the works……..
It’s amazing how the way you react to situations has a direct impact on the direction that those situations take. I see that you both have re-written the way your life will be rather than mourning the way you thought it should be. I’m happy for you all and you continue in my prayers.

Sonia,
I really love your last entry, especially the sentence: I see you both have re-written the way your life will be….
I draw much inspiration from it and I think other people can too.
Katy stay strong – your journey has inspired so many people! Many, many blessings to you and your family.
